Top challenges faced by schools in South Africa

If you had to choose the top challenge your school faces, what would that be?

As it turns out, there is a costly challenge that towers above the rest of the challenges faced by South African schools.

We are pleased to present the findings for our inaugural TPN Schools Survey. The survey was run across both private and public schools and included pre-schools, primary, senior and combined schools.

Significantly, school fee collection was rated by 67% of schools as their biggest challenge; the second biggest challenge rated substantially lower at 29% was late arrivals, with learner transportation to school (19%), lack of classroom resources (14%) and bully/abuse (13%) closing the top 5 challenges.
